Darren Hirst – biography

Darren Hirst, the head of the ravenscourt arts project, has over 30 years’ experience of writing about music and Shakespeare.

He has written extensively about and for many jazz, rock and pop artists including Eagles, Steely Dan, Bob Dylan, Sad Café, Judie Tzuke, Ron Carter, Dave Brubeck, Bob James and a host of others. He has been the producer on a number of musical projects and albums.

He is the producer, co-director and acts in the work of the Shakespearience, which is based at ravenscourt arts.

He is an accredited minister of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the senior pastor of Ravenscourt Baptist Church.
